He makes the following statement upon which he bases his claim for Original. I received rupture about 20 years ago, I was unloading household furniture from a car when I felt stinging sensation and soon found I was rupture. I use a truss but it does not keep the rupture in. I first contracted rheumatism 30 years ago. Contracted lung trouble in army where I had jaundice. Have been troubled with stomach trouble since June 1864.
Upon examination we find the following objective conditions: pulse rate, 76; respiration, 20; temperature, 98; height, 5 feet 7 inches; weight, 145 pounds; age, 61 years.
Upon examination I find "rupture" oblique inguinal hernia passing through external ring, descending into the scrotum, can be reduced and retained by properly fitting truss, in my opinion, but applicant says he cannot find a truss but what hurts him. The hernia passes through external ring, right side size of abdominal ring about 3/4 inch in diameter. Size of tumor, six inches long by 3 inches in diameter.
