Simon F. Shore was born in 1842, the son of Raymond Lee Shore (1820-1866) & Sarah McLane (1823-1898). Other children of Raymond and Sarah were Charles H., Martin L., Margaret and Udora.
Simon married Frances "Fannie" Gould (1843-1918) and they had three children, Harry, Frank Hale and Mary. Simon died in 1897 in Fairmont, Marion County, W.Va. and, with Fannie, is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Fairmont. (Tombstones)
Frank Hale Shore (1867-1929) married Lexina Davis in Mannington, W.Va. in 1892. They resided in Eagleville, Ohio and had one son, John G. (1893-1975), who married Agnes West (1892-1980) on April 15, 1913. John G. & Agnes had ten children: Harlan, Katherin, Robert, Betty, Vivian, Mary Margaret, Dorothy, John C., Raymond & Richard.
Richard has the payroll records of Simon & Martin Shore, both of whom served in the 12th Infantry.
