Fielding Nay was a farmer born in Harrison County, W.Va. about 1835.
He was the son of Fielding Nay, Jr., born April 17, 1787 in Culpepper County, Va, and Elizabeth Griffin, born April 12, 1791. Fielding Jr. moved to Harrison County, W.Va. with his family about 1806/1807 and married Elizabeth on December 7, 1820. After the death of Elizabeth, April 12, 1843, Fielding Jr. married Jane Husted, widow of John Husted, on April 20, 1848. Fielding Jr. died April 8, 1854 and is buried by Elizabeth at the Pine Bluff Cemetery on Bingamon Creek, Harrison County, W.Va.
On June 2, 1866, Fielding Nay married Lydia Tucker, born 1846, the dau/o John and Elizabeth Tucker.
