Dear Friend
Your name was handed to me with the request that I write you in regards as to wheather I could get any pay for taking care of my aged father. He was a soldier of the civil war. Belonged to Company C- 12th Regiment of W.Va. He served something over three yrs. Five years ago last Mar I broke up my home and came home to take care of him which I did to the best of my ability until he was called home on the 8th of August 1923. I am now dependent on my brother for a home. Is there any compensation for me. If so I would like to have it as I need it now. Please advise me.
