HARMON CROW, Company "C"


Harmon Crow, the son of Philip Crow and Elizabeth Davis, was born in Marshall County, (W) Virginia on June 15, 1833, per death record, but that date conflicts with census records.

Elizabeth Davis Crow died in 1843. Philip then married Jane Blake.

At age 21, he joined for duty on August 7, 1862 and mustered in on August 23, 1862; mustered out at Richmond, Virginia on June 16, 1865. He was wounded in action at Piedmont on June 5, 1864.

Harmon's brother, Thornton Crow, Company D 1st W.Va. Infantry died as a result of wounds received in battle on Mar. 23, 1862 at Winchester, Va.

Harmon died on October 1, 1922 and is buried New Bethel Cemetery, Marshall County, WV.
