WASHINGTON FAMILY CEMETERY

OHIO COUNTY, W.VA.

This family cemetery of Lawrence Washington, nephew of George 
Washington, is situated on a farm owned at one time by George 
Washington. It is on the Greggsville, Clinton & Potomac Road (G.C. & P.), 
about 1 mile outside the Wheeling City limits.

Lawrence Augustine Washington - d. Feb. 15, 1824, in his 50th year.

Mrs. Mary Dorcas Washington - d. Nov. 9, 1835, aged 54 years.

Miss Emma Tell Washington  - d. Nov. 20, 1838, aged 26 years.

Note: The foundations of the above stones were in bad need of repair 
and were restored by the work of Audra Wayne and donations of the DAR 
of Wheeling.
