Margaret Zobrest's parents were George John Zobrest, Jr., born May 6, 1910, and Hollis Roberta Casperson, born December 22, 1912. Margaret, born about 1931, was the oldest of six children. The other children were/are Roberta, Marilyn, Joann, George. Jr., and Susan Carol.

The father, George John Zobrest, Jr., was tragically killed when he was run over by a truck on March 12, 1944. A newspaper article indicates that the children were sent to a school related to the Moose Lodge, located in Illinois. His widow, Hollis, died in Pittsburgh on September 7, 1978. A daughter, Joanne, born April 4, 1937, died on June 9, 1975.

Margaret married Robert James Walch and they remained in the Pittsburgh area.

OBITUARY: Margaret Ann Walch passed away peacefully with her family at her side on October 29, 2020. Margaret was the beloved wife of Robert J. Walch for 66 yrs. She was the loving mother of (late) Stephen Walch, Teresa (late Scott) Dodds, David (Leslie) Walch, Kathleen (Seth) Baratz and John (Linda) Walch. Adored grandmother of Bryan Walch, Sean Dodds, Lauren and Kevin Walch, Nicole and Andrew Baratz and Kayla and Robert Walch; great-grandmother(GiGi) to Ezabella Corbett, Hayley and Garrett Walch; sister to George Zobrest and predeceased by sisters, Marilyn Young, Roberta Stephens, Joann Zobrest and Susan O'Donnell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Judes.
