Margaret Yambor, born January 30, 1901, was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Yambor (also Jambor), residents of Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The parents were born in Czechoslovakia, and immigrated in 1890 and 1892, respectively. Joseph worked as a laborer in a steel mill.

At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, Margaret and nursing school classmate, Teresa Blanche Conroy, were lodgers in a private home, and were employed as hospital nurses. In 1940, Margaret was living in the St. Francis Nurses' Home and was working as a private duty nurse at the hospital.

Margaret Yambo died September 9, 1990 and is buried at St. Michael's Slovakian R. C. Cemetery in West Mifflin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
