OBITUARY

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - Janet Ponce, 62, died March 10, 2006, at home.

She was born April 11, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Edward and Stella (Grzegorczyk) Wyzykowski.

She graduated from high school in Pittsburgh and received her degree as a registered nurse from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, also in Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor's of science degree from New England College in Henniker, N.H., in 1990.

On April 1, 1967, she married Alfred A. Ponce in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Ponce worked at Crotched Mountain Children's Rehab Center in Greenfield, N.H., the University of West Virginia Medical Center and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. In Bloomsburg, Pa., she worked at Danville State Hospital. She was employed at the dermatology department in Winifred Raven House at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, N.H. She later worked as a licensed electrologist.

She enjoyed painting watercolors, some of which were published in The Zen of Creative Painting, and traveling.

Survivors include her husband of White River Junction; a son, Michael Ponce of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Edward Wyzykowski of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Kenneth Wyzykowski of Moscow, Russia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H.
