ANN ELIZABETH WRENN

Class of 1922

Ann(a) Elizabeth Wrenn was born about 1894-95 in Franklin, Pennsylvania to Thomas J. and Catherine (Halloran) Wrenn. At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, "Anna Wren" was 25, and a student nurse at St. Francis. The census indicates that she was born in Pennsylvania and her parents in New Hampshire.

On October 3, 1927, Ann E. Wren, nurse, age stated as 27, married Edward S. Anderson, 23, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Edward was a clerk born in S. Lorain, Ohio to Edward A. and Dora (Smith) Anderson. If her age in the 1920 census is correct, she was actually in her early thirties when she married.

In 1930, Ann and Edward lived in Cleveland she worked as a hospital nurse. Edward's widowed mother lived with them, and they had a number of boarders in the home. Edward was found in the 1940 census and was divorced.

Another Cleveland marriage record is found for Anne E. Anderson, 36, a nurse born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James Wren and Catherine Holloran. The record indicates she was divorced on April 12, 1938. She married John Lorenzo, son of Michael and Mary, on July 25, 1938. He was a laborer, 35, born in Cleveland. In 1940, Ann was living with John, as well as his father and brother.
