OBITUARY

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Charlene Vaughn Wood McMullin, 70, at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Riverside. She died Oct. 18 of congestive heart failure at her son's home in Springfield, Va.

Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery.

Preston and Simons Mortuary in Riverside is handling arrangements.

Mrs. McMullin was born in Riverside, where lived for 34 years She was a homemaker.

She served as a nurse in the U. S. Navy from 1952 until 1955 and was discharged with the rank of lieutenant.

Mrs. McMullin received her nursing degree in 1952 from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church and a member of the Riverside Genealogical Society and the Navy Nurse Corps Association.

Mrs. McMullin is survived by two sons, Stephen of Springfield and Gerald of Castro Valley; three grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Spring Valley and Vesta Mae Cross of Vista.
