OBITUARY--- Mary Jane (Wise) Nicotra, 86, of Ford City died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 in the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning. - She was born June 3, 1918 in Ambridge to Wilbur and Margaret (OConnor) Wise. - Mrs. Nicotra was a registered nurse. She formerly worked at St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh and Rochester General Hospital, Rochester. - She was a member of the former St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Ford City and a former secretary of the Loyal Christian Benefit Association. - Her other memberships were the Kittanning Area Womans Club, where she was a past president and United Way of Armstrong County. - A volunteer at the Ford City Public Library, she was also involved in the Dental Society of Pittsburgh. - Since 1960, she has been a resident of her community. - Survivors include one son, Anthony Holland Nicotra of Ford City; one daughter, Carolyn Margaret Nicotra of Ford City; three grandchildren, Portia Nicotra, Edmond Nicotra and Matthew Nicotra; and one great-granddaughter, Mercedez Houston. - She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Edmond Nicotra, who died in 1985; and one brother, Matthew Wise. - Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday and a Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ, Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City with the Rev. Edward Lewis officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
