Barbara A. Whitehill, 82, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on January 9, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Harvey L. Sr. and Elizabeth (Turner) Whitehill.

Ms. Whitehill was employed as a Registered Nurse in Pittsburgh for 60 years.

She attended St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was a member of the Oakmont Garden Club and Bridge Card Club. Ms. Whitehill graduated from the St. Francis School, Clearfield and the St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh.

She is survived by a brother and a sister, Harvey L. Whitehill Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Betty L. Whitehill of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Kay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Father John Chaplin as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 11-12:30 PM. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield, the Saint Francis Church, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield or to the Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 1 South Front Street, Clearfield.
