CLARA FULLARD WHITE

Class of 1917

"Clara F. White" is named in a 1922 history of the Pittsburgh Red Cross as a St. Francis nurse graduate who was "in active service with the American Expeditionary Forces and in the United States." She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War I from October 21, 1918 until November 22, 1919, according to Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Military Affairs Veterans Burial Card. She died August 14, 1958 at age 64, and she is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

Clara's middle name comes from a list of the 1917 graduates that was published in the Pittsburgh Press, May 23, 1917.
