Rebecca Welch, born on August 29, 1900 in Pennsylvania, was the daughter of Robert and Mary Welch of Noyes Township, Clinton County. Rebecca's siblings were Dorsey L., Margaret, Daniel, and Francis (Frank). The father, an engineer at the brick works, was deceased before 1920.

At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, Rebecca Welch, stated age 26, lived on Kincaid Extension, Pittsburgh, and she was employed as a hospital nurse. She was residing at the St. Francis Nurses' Home in 1940. She was 39, single, and she is listed as a nurse, but she was working as an office clerk.

According to their brothers' obituaries, Rebecca and her sister, Margaret, eventually lived together in Pittsburgh and then returned home to Clinton County.

Margaret Welch, born in 1901, died in February 1980. Rebecca E. Welch died on February 12, 1994 in Clinton County. They are buried at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Hyner, Clinton County.
