Edna Vidunas was born September 6, 1926 to Kostanta (per Naturalization papers), born in Versais, Russia, and Anna Vidunas, born in Lithuania (Russia), and residents of Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. When Mr. Vidunas applied for citizenship in 1919, he had three children: Aniella ("Nellie"), Fannie, and Kostanta.

At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Vidunas were Frances ("Fannie"), Gust (Kostanta), Helen, Edna, and Richard. In 1940, the mother was deceased and another son, Edgar, age 7, was named. - The father died in December 1942.

Edna R. Vidunas enrolled in the school of nursing and was a member of the U. S. Nurse Cadet Corps. According to her membership card, Frances Vidunas was her guardian.

Edna married Paul W. Butch and they resided in Greensburg, Westmoreland County. Paul died in 1996.
