OBITUARY: Bernadette A. Nichols - Age 84, of Penn Hills, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020. Beloved wife of the late George W. Nichols; mother of William (Gail), Marie, Paul (Lenka), Michael (Ann), Mark (Jamie) Nichols; grandmother of Ben, Sarah, Sam, Julianna, Emily, Tessa, Tomas, Anna, Michael, Amanda, Katie, Matthew; sister of Francis (Dolores) Szatkowski, Joseph (Eleanor) Szatkowski, the late Bernard (surviving Loretta) Szatkowski, and Mary Szatkowski; also survived by numerous other family and friends. She dedicated her life to the Church and being a delivery room nurse at St. Francis Hospital. She served as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Ladies of Charity for St. Bartholomew Church in Penn Hills. She was also active in the Pittsburgh Cursillo. Bernie was grateful enough to receive special care from her granddaughters, Julianna and Emily.
