At the time of the 1930 census, Amelia was living with her mother, Mary, and siblings, Walter and Leo, in Everson, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Her father, Jozef, born in 1888, died in 1916.

By 1940, Amelia was a hospital nurse, boarding at a house on Negley St./Ave., Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Press, June 8, 1953 - St. Joseph's Church was the setting of Amelia Skowronek's marriage to Joseph John Casper on Saturday morning. After a reception in the Pleasant Valley Country Club, the couple left for a trip to Canada. The bride, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Skowronek, of Everson, had Lillian Wesolowski as maid of honor. MARY SKOWRONEK -- News Record, North Hills, PA, June 9, 1987--Allison Park - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, Pa., for Mary J. Showronek, 96, formerly of Everson, Pa., who died Thursday, June 4, 1987, at Allegheny General Hospital. - A homemaker, Mrs. Skowronek was a former member of St. Joseph Church and its Holy Rosary Society. She was a member of St. Ursula Church, Allison Park, Seton Center Senior Citizens of Brookline and Senior Citizens of Brookline and Senior Citizens of St. Mary Church, Downtown Pittsburgh. - Surviving are her daughter, Amelia Casper of Allison Park, one son, Walter Skowronek of Dawson, Pa., two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. - Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Everson, Pa.
