Born August 15, 1932, Mary Geraldine Skehan was the daughter of Raymond Gerald Skehan and Agnes Lubresky. Mr. Skehan was Agnes' second husband. Her first husband, Arthur Murphy, died in 1927.

Mary Geraldine's siblings were Raymond G. "Jerry" Skehan, Patrick Murphy, Odessa Murphy (Farina), and Katherine Murphy (Tomko).

On February 26, 1977, Mary Geraldine married Jay M. Arentz in Los Angeles. He died on April 8, 2004 at Yountville, California. Born in 1923, Jay served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

Mary Geraldine Skehan Arentz died September 6, 2013. She and her husband are buried at the Veterans Memorial Grove Cemetery, Yountville, Napa County, CA.
