MARTHA SHERIDAN MORRIS

Times Herald News -- Martha Ann Morris, age 91 of The Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale, formerly of Lafayette Hill, died on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007.

She was a retired school nurse for Colonial School District, serving from 1966 to 1986, at the Whitemarsh Junior High School and the Colonial Middle School.

Mrs. Morris was born in Cassandra, Pa., the daughter of the late John and the late Brigid (Bradley) Sheridan, and wife of the late Bartholemew P. Morris who died in 1996.

She served as a U.S. Army nurse during WWII and obtaining the rank of lieutenant serving the South Pacific. She was a member of the St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill and the Whitemarsh Women's Club. She was a graduate of The St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh and West Chester University. She was also a member and nurse for the Whitemarsh Ambulance Assn.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Quarino and her husband, John of Lafayette, Pamela A. Thompson and her husband, James of Meridan, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Christopher.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 7 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the St. Philip Neri Church, 4 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
