Obituary

Sister Mary Edward Severin, of the Order of St. Francis, Mt. Alvernia, Millvale, died at St. Francis General Hospital yesterday [December 12, 1960] after a long illness.

Solemn requiem mass will be Sun (sic) for her in the mother house chapel, Mt. Alvernia, at 10 A.M. Thursday.

Born in St. Marys, Pa., in June 1894, she entered the community of the Sisters of St. Francis in September, 1922. She was invested in the religious habit in January 1923, and made profession of perpetual vows in February, 1927.

She spent her entire religious life as a nurse in St. Francis General Hospital. She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Regina Hetner [Hepner?], of St. Marys, and Mrs. Jewel [Julia] Edelman, of Dearborn, Mich.

Burial will be in Mt. Alvernia cemetery.
