In 1910, Minnie E. Seibert, 19, was living with her parents and four of her siblings.
The father, born in 1857, died in 1910.
The 1920 census finds Minnie E. Seibert, 29, a hospital superintendent (Defiance Hospital), living in the home of a nurse. She is also listed as the hospital superintendent in the City Directory.
She graduated from the school of nursing at St. Francis in 1923, and remained in Pittsburgh. Her mother, born in 1859, died in 1923. The parents are buried at Saint Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Adams Ridge, Defiance, Ohio.
In 1930, Mary Siebert, 38, was a roomer on S. Mathilda Street, Pittsburgh, with another St. Francis nurse, Laura Thomas, Class of 1915. Numerous hospital nurses lived in the vicinity.
In the 1934 Pittsburgh City Directory, Mary Seibert, Laura Thomas, and Sophia Weigand (Class of 1919), all nurses, resided at 308 Garnet Way.
The 1940 census finds Mary E. Seibert, 49, a nurse at St. Francis Hospital, residing on Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh. St. Francis nurses, Laura Thomas and Sophie Weigand lived there, as well.
The Social Security Death Index indicates that Mary Siebert (as spelled), born December 9, 1890, died in October 1980. Her last known residence was Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Location of the last benefit paid was Defiance, Ohio. There is a gravestone for her at the Saint Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Defiance, but the death date is not inscribed.
