BROTHER'S OBITUARY: John G. Rogan - Former Sharon man was Sharon Steel retiree - INDIATLANTIC, Fla. -- John G. Rogan, Indiatlantic, but formerly of Sharon, died of natural causes at 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2002, in his residence after an extended illness. He was 91. - He was the widower of Edna Irene Hunter Rogan. - Born in Brookville, Pa., on Monday, Oct. 10, 1910, Mr. Rogan was a son of the late James and Irene Dixon Rogan. - He had worked as a machinist at the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, from which he retired after 35 years of service. - Mr. Rogan was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, and while living in Indiatlantic, belonged to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. - He was an honorary member of Local 1197 of the United Steelworkers union. - Mr. Rogan was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who loved spending time with his family. - He is survived by: a daughter, Bertie, wife of John Vasconi, Cary, N.C.; a daughter, Maggie, wife of Jay Post, Indiatlantic; a son, George, husband of Shirley Rogan, New Kensington, Pa.; and a sister, Margaret Hetra, Sharon. Mr. Rogan is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. - Besides his wife and his parents, Mr. Rogan was preceded in death by seven brothers, Vincent, Edward, Burdette, Paul, Thomas, James and an infant, George Rogan.
