Emma "Mae" Robison, born in Saint Joe, Butler County, Pennsylvania, on July 23, 1887/1888, was the daughter of John Henry Robison and Mary Elizabeth Green.

In 1910, the mother, Mary E. "Robinson," a widow, lived on Penn Street, Butler. She had given birth to 9 children, and 7 were living. All 7 were in the family home: L. D., May, Henry, Seth Thomas, Benjamin, John and Joseph.

Emma Mae Robison served in the U. S. Army Nurse Corps during World War I. In 1934, she filed an application for compensation.

Emma Mae married Fred D. Gallagher, a railroad conductor, born in Bainbridge, Ohio on October 20, 1891. He died July 7, 1927, after he fell under a freight train and his body was crushed. He is buried at Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Marriage records indicate they had at least two sons, Robert C. Gallagher and William D. Gallagher, both of whom got married in 1946.

Emma Mae Robison Gallagher died August 9, 1978 in Pinellas County, Florida. She is buried at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Her government-issued gravestone is on findagrave.com
