ANNA VIRGINIA ROBINSON

A news article about the St. Francis graduating Class of 1915 states that this graduate was "Anna V. Robinson, Grafton, West Virginia." Her middle name was Virginia, and she was "Virginia Robinson" in an article about the St. Francis Nurses Alumnae.

Rose Bolliger, Class of 1915, was also from Grafton, West Virginia.

At the time of the 1900 Federal Census, Annie V. Robinson, 9, born in April 1891, was residing in Grafton, Taylor County, West Virginia, with her widowed mother, Margaret, 28, born in West Virginia, and her widowed maternal grandmother, Harriet Snively, born in Pennsylvania.

In 1902, Annie's mother, Margaret, married Isaac Davisson, a widower. They are found in the 1910 census of Grafton with three older children from his previous marriage - Carl, William and Goldie - as well as two younger sons, George, 6, and Louis, a year and a half. Finally, Annie Robinson, age 19, was in the home, employed as a telephone operator.

The West Virginia Birth Index indicates that Annie V. Robinson was born to Henry J. Robinson and Maggie Snively on April 19, 1891 at Grafton, Taylor County, West Virginia. The father died January 27, 1894 in Warren County, Virginia.

Anna Virginia married Joseph Robert Minter and they eventually moved to California, where Joseph died in 1938.

Anna Virginia Robinson Minter died February 26, 1978 in San Bernardino, California.
