Mary A. Radley was born May 25, 1876 in Pittsburgh to John Radley and Josephine Howard. At the time of the 1880 Federal Census, John, 36, and Josephine, 27, had three daughters, Mary, 4, Emma, 2, and Elizabeth, 4 months. In 1881 they had a son, John Raphael Radley (1881-1964). Another son, Howard, was born in April 1884.

In 1900, the Radley children, mostly grown, were residing with John and Mary Ward on Bingham Street. They are described as the nieces and nephews of the Wards. Mary Radley was a saleslady.

Mary was in the first graduating class of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. On October 30, 1905, Mary Radley married Harry Thomas McGuire in Pittsburgh. He was born at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

In 1910, the McGuires lived on Hermitage Street, Pittsburgh. Harry, 36, was a bookkeeper at a coal company. Mary was 33, and their children were Harry T. Mcguire Jr., 3 1/2, Virginia M., 2 1/2, and John R., 5 months. They had a daughter, Ruth Elizabeth, born November 27, 1910. She died of pneumonia at age 23 days, on December 20. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

The census of 1920 indicates that the McGuires had moved to Duboistown, Lycoming, Pennsylvania. Harry has no occupation listed, but Mary was a saleslady in a grocery store. Son, Harry T., Jr is listed as Thomas H. in 1920.

In 1930, in Duboistown, Lycoming County, with their 3 grown children, Harry and Mary had no occupation listed. Daughter, Virginia M. [May], 22, was a stenographer. They paid $20 rent per month.

Mary R. McGuire and her daughter, Virginia, 32, were living in New Castle County, Delaware at the time of the 1940 census. The census indicates they had also lived there in 1935. Virginia was employed as a stenographer. Also in New Castle, Delaware, was Harry T. McGuire (Jr.), who had become a Medical Doctor. He graduated from Georgtown Medical School in 1932 and moved to Delaware. He was married to Louise and they had a 9 month old son, Harry T., Jr. Dr. McGuire was born born August 17, 1906. "Dr. Tom" became a renowed doctor, and among his many positions, he was the Medical Director at the St. Francis Hospital in New Castle County, Delaware.

Mary's husband, Harry Thomas McGuire died March 5, 1938. He is buried at Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware.

In 1944, Mary A. Radley McGuire applied for a Social Security card. The application confirms the names of her parents, and her birth date and place. She died April 25, 1960 and she is buried by her husband at the Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.

Harry Thomas McGuire, born August 17, 1906, died August 25, 1989 in Delaware. His tombstone at Cathedral Cemetery says, "H. Thomas McGuire, MD."

John Radley McGuire, born Nov 20, 1909, died 1 June 1, 1988 in San Diego, California.

Daughter, Virginia May McGuire Lowenstein, died August 11, 1983 in Delaware.
