YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church for Dorothy Radanovic, 92, who entered into rest Friday evening at Liberty Health Care Center.
Dorothy was born Feb. 8, 1915 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Steve and Angeline (Savic) Radanovic.
She was a 1933 graduate of South High School and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a registered nurse, with 40 years of service, retiring in 1977.
Dorothy was a member of the church and the Circle of Serbian Sisters. She enjoyed reading and watching the game show “Jeopardy,” and was very good at playing “Trivial Pursuit.”
She leaves her brother, Daniel (Ann Marie) Radanovic of Hubbard and many nieces and nephews, whom she enjoyed visiting with.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Nicholas, and Joseph Radanovic, and her sisters, Helen Radanovic, Mildred Jordan, and Catherine Lightbody.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the church.
