OBITUARY: PREMUS, Dolores Evelyn, age 77 of Beavercreek, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Agnes Ptak and sister Mary Lucille Ptak. Dolores is survived by her loving husband Robert Premus, son Robert Francis Premus, daughter Deborah Susan Premus, and brother Frank Ptak. Dolores graduated Salutatorian of her class at Mount St. Macrina High School and went on to graduate from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating she began her career at Uniontown Hospital in PA and moved onto Mount Sanai Hospital in Cleveland with a group of friends. When Dolores and Robert were engaged they moved to Athens, OH where she worked as the head of the TB Unit at Nelsonville Hospital. After Robert graduated they moved to Rhode Island where she worked at the VA Hospital. When Robert took a job at Wright State University Dolores worked at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, OH as a surgical nurse. Once her son Robert was born she gave up her career to take care of him and advocate for people with disabilities throughout Dayton and the country. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
