Caroline K. Terputac, 95, of Washington passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1927 in Burgettstown, PA, the daughter of the late John and Karolina Trafka Ptak. Carol graduated from Cecil High School in 1945 with honors. She was a member of the US Cadet Nurse Corps then went on to graduate from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1948. Carol worked as a registered nurse in skilled nursing facilities providing the residents with compassionate care, and she always took time to mentor other caregivers. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish. Carol enjoyed annual vacations to Myrtle Beach with her family and her frequent shopping excursions. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and world class pie baking skills, much to the delight of her husband. Carol will always be remembered for her kindness and grace. She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her.

On April 30, 1949 she married her childhood sweetheart, the late Judge Thomas J. Terputac. Left to cherish her memory are four children, Leslie Grenfell of Monongahela, PA, Alan (Ann) Terputac of Imperial, PA, Pamela (Sheldon) Bogos of Canonsburg, PA, Sally (David) Reilly of Imperial, PA; four grandchildren, Ryan (Erin) Bogos, Brittany (Derek) Samples, Alexander Reilly and Jenna Reilly; two twin great-grandchildren, Zoey and Carter Bogos; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care and to Amedisys Hospice for the loving care they provided to Carol.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Owner, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A prayer service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut St., Washington, PA with the Rev. John Lynam as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 S. Main St., Washington, PA 15301 or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
