OBITUARY--- Agnes Vesely - Veteran Nurse of World War II -- Agnes Price Vesely, 86, of Monongahela, formerly of Carol Avenue, Fallowfield Township, died Thursday, October 29, 1998. She was born May 3, 1912, in DuBois, a daughter of John and Christina Frederick Price. Mrs. Vesely was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. Following graduation, she was employed as a registered nurse in the operating room at St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Vesely was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, where she was a nurse and held the rank of lieutenant. She was a member of Transfiguration Church, St. Francis Nurse's Alumni Association and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Charleroi. Surviving are a son, Stephen M. Vesely, with whom she made her home; three daughters, Dr. May Vesely Tsourmas of Austin, Texas, Linda Gibson of St. Michaels, Md., and Cheryl Freeman of Alexandria, Va.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Holben of Chicora and Mary Louise Morrow of Silver Springs, Md. Deceased are her husband, Dr. John A. Vesely, who died March 1, 1997; a sister, Dolores Price; and four brothers, John, Glenn, Don and Francis Price.
