HUSBAND'S OBITUARY - Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh, PA) - May 25, 2001: MICHAEL "RUSTY" BUNDER - Age 83, died on May 25, 2001, of Richland Twp and formerly of Bairdford. Preceded in death by his parents, Mike Bunder, Sr. and Helen Bunder and brothers John and George Bunder. Survived by his wife Amelia (Pecman) Bunder; sisters, Mary Blaschak of Bairdford and Ann Dot Mellor of Glenshaw and extended family locally, California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey and Ohio. He was a WWII veteran with the 91st Chemical Mortor Company in the South Pacific Theater, retired member of Teamsters Local 261 New Castle, PA, member and past commander of American Legion West Deer Twp. Post 593, member of Mars VFW Post 7505 and member of Pittsburgh North Hills AARP Chapter 595. Friends received Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at KING FUNERAL HOME, INC. Rte 8 at 2841 Woodland Cir, Allison Park, PA. Mass of Christian burial St. Richard Church Tuesday 10:30 am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Sharps Hill. AMELIA'S OBITUARY - Amelia (Pecman) Bunder, age 100, of Richland Township, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. - Born December 1, 1921 in Slovenia, Europe, she was the daughter of the late Matthais and Mary (Maslo) Pecman. In addition to her parents, Amelia was preceded in death by her sister, Mary A. Rossi and brother, Miroslav Pecman. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. “Rusty” Bunder, who died in 2001. - Amelia was a professional nurse, a graduate from St. Francis Hospital and she earned BSN and MSW degrees from University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Army Nurse Corps in World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. During the Korean War, she was stationed in an Army hospital in Indiana for several years. She retired in 1981 from Social Services Department of Veterans Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh. - Amelia was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, St. Francis Nursing School Alumni, Amvets and the American Legion. She was a member and past president of the Women Overseas Service League, Pittsburgh Unit. She also belonged to the Pittsburgh North Hills Chapter AARP 595 and the Ladies Guild of St. Richard Church, where she served as church librarian. - Amelia is survived by her cousin, Betty Ann Dixon; nieces and nephews, and her caring neighbor, Michael Poulos. - Her Roman Catholic faith has been a moving force though her entire life. - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, at St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, PA. It will be officiated by her dear friends, Rev. Robert J. Vular and Deacon Francis Dadowski. - She will be laid to rest at St Mary's Cemetery in Sharpsburg. - In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SNPJ Scholarship Fund C/o 247 West Allegheny Road, Imperial, PA 15126-9774.
