OBITUARY: Vera Willison Patterson, 76, of Chambersburg, formerly of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Shook Home in Chambersburg. - She was born November 12, 1922, in Sycamore, a daughter of Ralph and Margaret Ealy Willison. - Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing and California University of Pennsylvania. - Early in her career, she worked for Magee Women's Hospital and Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. She returned to Waynesburg as a supervisor at Greene County Memorial Hospital and retired from the state Department of Health, where she was employed as a public health nurse. - Mrs. Patterson served as an original member of Greene County Hospice Inc. and was a longtime member of the Advisory Board of Greene County Children and Youth Agency. - She was a longtime church member. - Surviving are two sons, Dr. E. Britt Patterson of Chambersburg and Grady M. Patterson of Westfield, Mass.; a daughter, Megan Reynolds of Jefferson, Va.; three grandchildren, Clay and Luke Patterson and Mattie Reynolds; and a brother, J. Kenneth Willison of Waynesburg.

PATTERSON - Friends of Vera Willison Patterson of Chambersburg, formerly of Waynesburg, who died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 16, with the Rev. Charles McCollum officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
