MRS. VIRGINIA P. DELANEY, 92, died March 4, 2011 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.

She was born in Force, Pennsylvania and has resided in Florida for 4 years coming from Seal Beach, California.

She served in the US Army and was one of eight nurses during World War II in North Africa and Italy. She earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and University of North Carolina having obtained a degree in Nursing.

Survivors include her brother, Ted Palenski of DuBois, PA; sisters, Barbara A. Marks of Sebastian and Monica Reed of Washington DC. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Delaney.

SERVICES: No local services are planned. Interment will be in California.
