OBITUARY
Agnes "Aggie" O'Malley, 60, passed away on April 13, 2003 (Palm Sunday) from cancer. She was born on January 7, 1943 to Norman Jacob and Agnes Rosalia (Kaib) Pail.
She attended St. Ambrose Elementary, St. Benedict's Academy, and St. Francis School of Nursing, all in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her RN diploma in December, 1963. From 1968 to 1974, she served in the United States Air Force and, afterward, in the AF Reserves, achieving the rank of Major. Her assignments were at Forbes AFB, Kansas; Hahn AFB, Germany; and Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
On October 7, 1972, she married Brian C. O'Malley at Berchtesgaden, Germany. She took further college classes at Bellevue College in Bellevue, NE. She lived in Colorado Springs, CO. since 1985, and was a member of St. Patrick's Parish. After raising her four children, she went back into nursing, working at Penrose Community Hospital, Family Practice Associates and. most recently, at Oak Springs Family Medicine. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, traveling, and loved all animals.
Aggie is survived by her husband, Brian; and two loving dogs, Sadie and Shamrock of Colorado Springs; sons, Brian C. Jr. and James M. O'Malley of Denver; son Gregory T. O'Malley of Houston, TX.; daughter Jennifer L. and her husband Joseph A. Mlakar of Monterey, CA.; brother Norbert J. Pail and wife Marcie of Ligonier, PA.; and sister Cathy A. Lucas and husband Larry of Pittsburgh, PA.
Direct cremation was done by Colorado Springs Mortuary. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, with a reception following at the parish hall, 1925 Dominion Way.
