OBITUARY: Anna Jane (Mustatia) Stunja, 93, of Sewickley, passed Friday, July 22, 2016. Born May 9, 1923, in Glassport, daughter of the late John and Valeria (Procupp) Mustatia; beloved wife of the late Joseph Nicholas Stunja; loving mother of Valerie Stunja, of Flower Mound, Texas, Mark (Anne) Stunja, of Greensburg, Joseph (Tracy) Stunja, of Kingwood, Texas, and the late David Michael Stunja; grandmother of Mark James, Joseph, Mary Anne, Michael, James, Megan, David and Mary Elizabeth. Last of her immediate family, several nieces and nephews still survive as well as her "Best Friend in Care," Michele Schoedel. She was also preceded in death by her good friend and companion, Howard Seifert, whom she met in May 1986. Anna Jane was a graduate of Glassport High School in 1941. She attended St. Francis Nurses Training and graduated from the St. Francis School of Anesthesia in 1945. She was a nurse anesthetist at various Pittsburgh Hospitals, retiring after 40 years at Suburban General Hospital in Bellevue in July 1985. She was a lifetime member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Sewickley, where she started the WWDS Social Club and was its president for two terms. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Sewickley. Inurnment was private.
