The Pennsylvania Department of Military Affairs Burial Record indicates that Frances served in the Army Nurse Corp from August 10, 1917 until May 2, 1919.

Frances married Harry E. Betzig, and they were residing in Hempstead, Nassau County, New York in 1930. At that time, they had three sons, Harry, William and Edward. Later, they had a daughter, Mary Hildegarde.
