LUCILLE MULVEHILL

Class of 1915

Lucille Mulvehill, born in Pennsylvania, was the daughter of Peter J. and Rose B. Mulvehill, both born in Pennsylvania, and residents of Pittsburgh. Peter was a carpenter. Lucille's siblings in 1910 were Francis P., Robert B., J. Raymond, and Clement.

"Lucille Mulvehill" is named in a 1922 history of the Pittsburgh Red Cross as a St. Francis graduate, a memebr of the Pittsburgh Chapter, and a nurse at the University of Pittsburgh Base Hospital, No. 27 during World War I. She served with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, and is named in this article: Nurses Given Great Ovation By Pittsburgh.

In 1934, Lucille applied for compensation for her service during World War I.

According to the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs Death File, Lucille was born July 5, 1891 and died December 12, 1974. She enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps August 20, 1917 and was released on May 6, 1919.
