Sister Mary Scholastica (left), a graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing Class of 1940, was a member of the Felician Sisters, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Province, Coraopolis, Pa. Prior to being a nurse, she was educated as a teacher. Recruits were solicited for the nursing profession and when no one volunteered, Sr. Scholastica was assigned to attend the School of Nursing at St. Francis.

     Sister Mary Florian, Class of 1954, was the youngest of the three biological sisters pictured. Sister Florian was a member of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit, Pittsburgh and died March 3, 1992.

     Sister Benedict was a teacher during her career as a Felician Sister. She was also a very talented musician. She died in 1988.
