CORTLAND - Mary L. Ramaley, 77, of Cortland and formerly of Lynwood Drive N.W. in Warren, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Community Skilled Healthcare Centre.
She was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Vandergrift, Pa., the daughter of Mario Mottola and Carina Turi Mottola. She came to Warren in 1967.
She was a 1949 graduate of Vandergrift High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Ramaley retired in 1994 from Trumbull Memorial Hospital after 24 years as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retirees.
Her husband, Robert Ramaley, died Sept. 9, 1991. A brother, Frank Mottola, and sister, Nancy Rebyanski, also died previously.
Survivors include her children, Bobbi Manovich of Newton Falls, Keith (Belinda) Ramaley of Bazetta and Sandy (Jeff) Limber of Warren; four grandchildren, Nicholas Manovich, Sara (Chris) Baryak, Jesse Ramaley and Frank Ramaley; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Manovich, and Madison and Christopher Baryak.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at St. Pius X Church, with celebrant the Rev. William J. Loveless, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. service at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
