OBITUARY

Beloved mother Dolores Jean Montgomery Greene went home to be with our Lord after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis May 30, 2008; surrounded in love by all of her children.

She was born September 14, 1930 in Vandergrift, Penns-ylvania to Bessie L. Dismuke-Mont-gomery and Ruben J. Montgomery who preceded her in death. Dolores graduated from Vandergrift High School in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. After graduating from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dolores began a career as a Registered Nurse with the Veterans Administration. Dolores retired after 44 years and six months at Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs (Brecksville) where she served as Head Nurse on the Psychiatric Unit.

Dolores served and was very active in Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Kent area Chapter of Links Inc., Area Agency on Aging, member of St. Philips Episcopal Church and several other organizations.

Preceded in death by her husband, Flint A. Greene Jr.; sister, Mary Miles; brother, Piolate R. Montgomery; sisters-in-law, Magonlia M. Garner; brothers-in-law, John Schaeffer Greene and Henry W. Greene. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Dara (Ralph) Chapman of Akron, Marsha (Leonard) Jones of New Jersey, Damara L. Greene of New York, Dr. Morgan C. Greene of Akron; sons, Flint A. Greene III of Akron, Reuben M. Greene Sr. of Illinois. ; sisters, Mildred Trent of Philadelphia, Johnny Clyde Patterson of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Robert (Dorothy) Greene; sisters-in-law, Mary Adell Greene, and Cora Greene Houston, all of New Kensington, Pa. She leaves six grandchildren, Olivia, Reuben Jr., Flint IV, Montgomery, Gabrielle, and Leonard III; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2008, 12:00 noon at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 1130 Mercer Ave, Akron with Father David Hefling celebrant. The family will greet family and friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. before the homegoing services. Condolences may be sent to 298 Storer Avenue, Akron Ohio 44302.
