Mary Alice Mohr was born August 14, 1908 in Braddock, Allegheny County, Pa. to Nicholas Mohr and Mary Callahan. Her mother died when she was a young child, and her father subsequently married Nellie G. Cooke, a graduate of the St. Francis Class of 1914.

On November 30, 1938, Mary Alice married Frank Joseph Trance. They had a son, F. Raymond, and a daughter, Mary Ann.

Frank died in 1949. Daughter, Mary Ann, died in 1964. Mary Alice died September 26, 1981. They are buried at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
