DOLORES MIKLAVIC - Of Scott Township, passed away surrounded by her family on Sat., Oct. 16, 2010 at Country Meadows Nursing Center. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joseph E. Miklavic. Devoted mother of daughter Linda Plesic (John) of Mechanicsburg, and sons Bruce (Katherine), Dean (Laurie) and Gary, all of Pittsburgh; grand- mother of Lauren, Sarah, Joseph, Michael and Erik; sister of Alice Simpronio of Sheraden and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a member of SS Simon and Jude Parish and a dedicated Commonwealth of PA Nurse and Nurse Supervisor for 28 years at Woodville and Mayview State Hospitals. She worked tirelessly and lovingly in the care and support of her family, patients and co-workers. Upon her retirement in 2001, she enjoyed traveling the world, cooking new recipes, spending time with her family, volunteering as an English tutor for immigrants, reading, and caring for her pets in the home she loved in Scott Township.
