OBITUARY: MARGARET H. NIERGARTH - MELBOURNE [FL] Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many, Peggy Niergarth peacefully passed on, in her home in Melbourne, on Saturday, April 22, 2006. Born Margaret Helen Mecanko on June 16, 1919, Peggy was raised and educated in Pennsylvania. After receiving her Registered Nurse Degree from St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh in 1941, Peggy worked as a civilian nurse until she joined the Navy in 1943, rising to the rank of Lt. JG. She met and married the love of her life, Arthur, in July, 1945. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years in September, 2005, Peggy always put her family first, placing her career on hold to raise their three children. She returned to nursing when all were grown and eventually retired from Holmes Regional. Her love will forever be cherished by her children, Judy, Sue and Art; grandchildren, Jake and Luke; former daughter-in-law, Carol; sister, Mary Ann; brother, Mike; and each one of her numerous nieces, nephews and friends. MOM, our love has no bound aries, as you know. Still, we fought hard not to let you go. The physical part - it's so hard to say goodbye, so this is not goodbye. It couldn't be - we're a part of each other for Eternity. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25th, with services to fol low at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26th at the funeral home.
