Bertha "Betty" Marie Kline, 85, of Bethel Park, died Tuesday, December 2, 1997. She was the former assistant superintendent of Mayview State Hospital and worked there as head nurse. She was later employed by the Methodist Home, known as Asbury Heights Nursing Home, Mt. Lebanon; She graduated from Schenley High School, Pittsburgh, and St. Francis School of Nursing School of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Kline was a member of the St. Thomas More Church, Bethel Park. Mrs. Kline was married to Dr. Bernard E. Kline, who preceded her in death leaving her with nine children, the youngest 2 weeks old, and the oldest 15 years old. Surviving three daughters, Eleanor Kulikowski, Gretchen Cooley and Suzanne Varley; five sons, Frederick, Joel, Eric, Matthew and Dr. Ernest Kline; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, David J. Kline.
