Born on April 4, 1902 in Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pa., Isabel was the daughter of James Joseph McGaffin and Ida Agatha Yoest. Her siblings were Charles, James Jr., Clara, Agatha, Mary Frances, Bernadette, Evelyn, Marjorie and Betty.

She married Elmer F. Breinig and their children were Mary Frances Breinig (Alexander), Robert J. Breinig, and Eileen Ruth Breinig (Andre).

Elmer Breinig died July 7, 1967, at which time they were residing in Brookline. Isabel died January 5, 1992 in Pittsburgh. They are buried at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Mount Oliver, Pittsburgh.

Daughter, Mary Frances Alexander, died of Multiple Myeloma in Pittsburgh on February 19, 2007.
