Class of 1912
Anna McFall was born July 20, 1890 to Daniel Stephen McFall (1862-1928) and Mary Cussick (1868-1949). The family is found in the 1900 census residing in Washington Twp., Fayette County, Pennsylvania, where Mr. McFall worked as a coal miner. Mrs. McFall had given birth to six children, of which five survived: Michael, Anna, Francis, Sarah and John.
Anna McFall, 19, was a "pupil nurse" at the St. Francis School of Nursing at the time of the 1910 Federal Census. The census indicates she was born in Pennsylvania, her father was born in Ireland, and her mother in Scotland. She is also named in the census of her family, at which time both parents are shown as born in Scotland. Anna, spelled "Annia," is listed as 19 and a nurse at St. Francis Hospital. The family resided at Mifflin, Allegheny County, where Mr. McFall was employed as a Mine Boss. Mrs. McFall had given birth to eleven children, with nine living. Additions after 1900 were James, David, Margaret and Catherine.
Anna's father, Daniel, died January 7, 1928 of a "fractured skull due to being struck by a train on the P & LE Railroad opposite P & LE Freight station, East Monongahela, Forward Twp., Pa. (Prob Accident)."
Anna married Robert Wright Ware, the son of Robert and Ila (Wright) Ware, about 1926. In 1930, they were living in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at which time Anne M., 38, and Robert W., 32, had a daughter, Mary I. [Ila], age 1+, and a son, William Edward, 3 months, both born in Pennsylvania. Robert was a "Salesman - Fire Engines."
The Wares were residents of Brookline, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when they announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Ila, in March 1953.
Robert Wright Ware, 57, died on May 26, 1955 in Havertown, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Born in Dunnsville, Virginia, he is buried at the Rappahannock Christian Church Cemetery, Dunnsville, Essex County.
Anna McFall Ware died October 24, 1967. Her name is on the stone with her husband's at the Virginia cemetery. Her name is "Anne" on the stone, and her birth year is 1891.
