Eleanor Charlotte Manion was born on June 22, 1927 to Charles E. Manion and Wilhelmina LeJeune. Her siblings at the time of the 1940 Federal Census were Helen V. and Geraldine.
While a student nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Eleanor C. Manion, daughter of Mrs. C. E. Manion of 134 Washington Avenue, Wheeling, West Virginia, participated in the U. S., World War II, Cadet Nursing Corps.
In Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, on July 6, 1950, Eleanor Charlotte Manion, 23, married Harry L. Kelly, 27. She later married Clarence F. Comisky.
OBITUARY: COMISKY ELEANOR M. (nee Manion), on Jan. 16, 2003, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, previously of Wheeling, WV, age 75, wife of the late Clarence F. Comisky, Sr., beloved mother of Kathleen L. Kelly of Mt. Laurel, Matthew G. Kelly and his wife Kathi of Orwigsburg, PA and Thomas M. Kelly and his wife, Linda of Marlton, NJ; also survived by her 3 step-sons, Philip Comisky of Atco, NJ, Kurt Comisky of East Hampton, CT, and Christopher Comisky of Kingston, PA, her daughter-in-law, Danielle Comisky of Sicklerville, NJ, and 12 grandchildren. Eleanor was a retired Registered Nurse. She worked for many years as a private duty nurse for Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA and as a school nurse for the Pennsbury School District. Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing on Monday from 7 to 9 P.M and Tuesday from 8:15 to 9:15 A.M. at THE BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Route 73 and Evesham Road, Marlton N.J. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Church, 560 Walton Ave., Mt. Laurel, NJ. Burial will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Vet. Memorial Cem., Arneytown, NJ.
