She was 30, single, born in Irish Free State, immigrated to the United States in 1922, and her Naturalization Papers were applied for. Living in the same house were nurses, Margaret Nicholas, 28, and Sarah Nicholas, 27, who also immigrated from Ireland in 1922, and Catherine Oregan (O'Regan), 32, who immigrated from Ireland in 1915.
According to her death record, May/Mae McNelis, a single nurse, died of ovarian cancer on 13 September 1935 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Ireland and her parents were John McNelis and Hannah Dawson. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Her uncle, Joseph Dawson, provided the information on her death certificate.
