Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Luscombe was born April 1, 1918 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania to Herbert and Clara Elizabeth (Geiselhart) Luscombe.

In 1940, Mary, 21, a graduate nurse, was living at home with her family. She was in private practice. Her sister, Kathleen, 26, was also a nurse in prvate practice.

Mary Lou married Leonard Henry Koch in the early 1940s and gave birth to their first child in 1942.

Leonard served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.

Leonard Henry Koch died in November 9, 1984 at Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. Mary Lou's death occurred June 19, 2007 at Newhall, Los Angeles, California. They are buried at Riverside National Cemetery, also known as the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery.
