Mary Ann (Luketich) Montini, 70, of Center Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 18, 2003.

Born Oct. 23, 1932, in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Kolich) Luketich, she was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, Center Township. Within the church, she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, a founding member of Care and Concern Ministry, 50-Plus Group and the School Nurse Association. Mrs. Montini was a 1950 graduate of Aliquippa High School, a 1953 graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, and was a graduate of Slippery Rock University where she earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree. Her nursing career began at Rochester Hospital. From there, she continued her passion by being a devoted school nurse for 27 years with the Center Area High School.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, whom she married Aug. 22, 1953, Jeldo Montini; children and their spouses, Lisa and Rich Maleski, Gibsonia; Mark and Kim Montini, Asheville, NC, and Joyceann and Roger Lacy, West Chester, Pa.; several grandchildren who brought much joy to her life, Rick Maleski, Mark, Nathan and Natalie Montini, Michael, Jonathan and Benjamin Lacy; two brothers, Frank and Edward Luketich, Aliquippa, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

Mary Ann was taken suddenly from us, however, the many people she touched during her lifetime will always remember her loving, gentle, giving nature. She will be sadly missed and always loved.
